Ileana Makri x Doukissa Nomikou
I am delighted to announce my latest collaboration with the lovely, Doukissa Nomikou. “The Love Collection” has just launched and is for sale exclusively at doukissanomikou.com. The Collection is based around a symbol that my daughter, Amalia, designed for Doukissa and her husband Dimitri as a gift for their wedding. The design combines the couples’ initials in both English and Greek “D+D” and «Δ+Δ» to create a heart, the ultimate symbol of Love. And if you take a second look you will notice that in the center of the Heart a “Peace” sign is created ultimately symbolizing “Love & Peace”.
Doukissa fell “In Love” with this symbol and expressed the desire to create a jewelry collection around it so that she could share her love and this beautiful symbol with the world. She wanted the pieces to be understated, refined, elegant & timeless while at the same time keeping them affordable without compromising their quality. I believe that together we have succeeded in creating just that. The collection is comprised of 18k gold plated, Sterling Silver, while some pieces have been adorned with white zirconia. It has been a pleasure working with this multi talented beauty to create this fun, elegant & timeless collection. It truly has been a labour of love. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we have!
