SHIPPING, RETURNS & RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Shipping
All orders are shipped from Athens, Greece (European Union).
We ship worldwide using the shipping methods provided on our website. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all orders over €250.
P.O. Box deliveries are not available. Please provide a valid physical address for shipping.
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email from our website. When your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email containing tracking information.
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding Greek public holidays. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
We strive to dispatch all orders within 10 business days; however, specific delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Please note that delivery times are estimates and Ileana Makri Fine Jewelry is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance procedures, adverse weather conditions, carrier delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Duties & Taxes
European Union (EU)
Prices displayed for customers within the European Union include applicable VAT.
United States
Orders are shipped from the European Union and prices displayed on our website are VAT-free. Import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and carrier charges may apply upon arrival in the United States and typically range between 10% - 20% of the order value.
Your shipping carrier will contact you directly to collect any information required for customs clearance, including your Social Security Number (SSN), where applicable, and to arrange payment of these charges before your order can be released and delivered.
Please note that refusal to pay duties and taxes does not exempt the customer from any shipping, return shipping, customs, brokerage, storage, or carrier charges incurred as a result of the refusal.
Should you decide to return your item(s), you may reclaim the duties and taxes paid directly from U.S. Customs through the applicable duty drawback process. We will be happy to provide supporting documentation relating to the export and return of your order.
United Kingdom
Orders are shipped from the European Union and prices displayed on our website are VAT-free. UK VAT (currently 20%) and any applicable import charges may be collected upon arrival in the United Kingdom.
Your shipping carrier will contact you to arrange payment before your order can be released and delivered.
Should you decide to return your item(s), you may be eligible to reclaim any import VAT and customs duties paid from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), subject to their requirements and approval.
We will be happy to provide supporting documentation relating to the export and return of your order to assist with your application. Please note that any refund of import taxes or duties is administered by HMRC and remains entirely at their discretion.
Rest of World
Orders are shipped from the European Union and prices displayed on our website are VAT-free. Local duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and carrier charges may apply upon arrival in your country.
Your shipping carrier will contact you to arrange payment before your order can be released and delivered.
These charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient and must be paid directly to the relevant customs authority or carrier before delivery can be completed.
Refusal to pay duties and taxes does not exempt the customer from any shipping, return shipping, customs, brokerage, storage, or carrier charges incurred as a result of the refusal.
RETURNS & RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
We hope you are delighted with your purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, please review our return policy below.
European Union Customers
In accordance with applicable EU consumer protection legislation, customers residing within the European Union may exercise their right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days of receiving their order for eligible products.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery by contacting our Customer Care team at customercare@ileanamakri.com or by submitting our online withdrawal request form.
Following notification, returned items must be shipped back promptly and in accordance with the instructions provided by our Customer Care team.
International Customers (Outside the European Union)
Customers outside the European Union must notify us of their intention to return an eligible item within 7 calendar days of delivery.
All return requests must be approved by our Customer Care team before the item is returned.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for return, all items must:
• Be unworn, unused, and in their original condition
• Show no signs of wear, damage, alteration, or use
• Be returned with all original packaging, certificates, authenticity cards, and accompanying documentation
• Have all security tags and seals intact where applicable
All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt.
Ileana Makri Fine Jewelry reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet the above conditions. In such cases, the item will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:
• Made-to-order items
• Bespoke commissions
• Personalized or engraved items
• Customized pieces produced to a client's specifications
• Resized items
• Special-order items
• Sale items and discounted merchandise
• Gift cards
Where an item is made-to-order or specially produced for a customer, production constitutes acceptance that the item is non-returnable and non-refundable.
Return Shipping
Unless an item is faulty or incorrectly supplied, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Return Shipping Options
• We can arrange the return shipment on your behalf for a fee of €50, which will be deducted from your refund.
• Alternatively, you may choose to return the item using your preferred courier. In this case, we kindly ask that you notify us before dispatching the return.
Original shipping charges, duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, and other import-related charges are non-refundable.
You will be responsible for covering the shipping costs associated with returning your item. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service such as DHL or FedEx and purchasing shipping insurance where appropriate. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items that are sent without tracking.
Important: Please do not return any items before contacting us first.

Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you believe you have received a faulty item or an item different from the one ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at customercare@ileanamakri.com with photographs and a detailed description of the issue.
We will review the matter and provide further instructions.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval of your refund.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 10 business days.
Please note that your financial institution may require additional time to post the refund to your account.
